HOW DO I GET ENTRY TO MY UNIT?
You can enter the facility and your unit using just your mobile phone. On your move in date, you will receive a text message from NOKE with instructions on how to download the app that allows you access the facility. 
For customer using the internal storage facility at Bedford, you will be able to use the app to open the door to the facility and your storage room. For customers using containers, the app will be used to open the gate and then you provide your own padlock for the container you are using.

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE APP?
Follow the instructions on the text message sent to you, which will take you to the Apple or Android app stores, depending on which device you have.
I DON’T HAVE AN APPLE OR ANDROID DEVICE. CAN I STILL GET ACCESS?
Yes you can, though you will need to use a Fob which requires a deposit payment. Call us on 0330 107 0279 if you require one, either before or after booking your room.
WHY WON’T THE GATES/DOORS/UNIT DOOR OPEN FOR ME?
You can visit your storage unit at anytime on any day. If you are unable to access it, please contact us on 0330 107 0279 during the office hours 8am - 6pm.
CAN I ENTER MY STORAGE UNIT ANYTIME? 
When you book a storage container with us you will receive a phone number to call to open the gate. To open the gate simply dial the number and gate will open. No one will answer the call. Only phone numbers that are programmed can open the gate.
CAN I DRIVE MY CAR/VAN UP TO THE CONTAINER?
Yes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! All you need is your mobile phone. Before your move in date, you will receive a text message with instructions how to set it up.
CAN I DRIVE RIGHT UP TO MY STORAGE UNIT?
If you have a container, yes - you can park right outside it. For indoor units, you can drive right up to the facility. All units are ground floor and with our extra wide corridors, unloading is hassle-free! We can also provide trolleys for those heavy or awkward items.  
WILL THERE BE ANY EMPLOYEES ON SITE WHEN I ARRIVE?
Unless you have previously arranged to meet a member of our team on site, it is unlikely there will be any employees on site when you arrive.
I NEED BOXES AND PACKING MATERIALS. DO YOU SELL THEM?
I'm afraid we do not sell boxes or packaging materials
IS THERE ANYONE ON SITE TO HELP ME UNLOAD OR LOAD MY STUFF?
While employees are sometimes on site, you should always plan to unload and pack your items yourself.
ARE THERE ANY STEPS TO ENTER THE FACILITY?
There is step free access.
WHAT CAN`T I STORE WITH YOU?
Storage of the following items is not permitted: • Food or perishable goods, unless they are securely packed so that they are protected from and do not attract vermin. • Birds, fish, animals or any other living creatures. • Combustible or flammable materials or liquids such as gas paint, petrol, oil or cleaning solvents. • Firearms, explosives, weapons or ammunition. • Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature. • Any item which emits any fumes, smells or odour. • Any illegal substance, illegal items or goods illegally obtained. • Compressed gas.
CAN I BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Yes you can. You can choose your move in for a date in the future. At Big Bull Self Storage you only pay when you move in, so you can book in advance and tick that off your 'to-do' list.
WHEN DOES MY CARD PAYMENT GET TAKEN?
On the day you move in. This means you can book the unit now but only pay when you move in. So you will not pay a penny until your scheduled start date.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
No. We don't charge anything to reserve the storage unit, there are no cancellation fee's and no deposit, so completely free to reserve a self storage unit as you wont pay anything until your move in date.
DO I NEED INSURANCE?
Yes you need insurance. We offer a competitive insurance cover via our self storage underwriters. It is mandatory and is in place by the trade body the Self Storage Association.
IS THE FACILITY AND ALL SELF STORAGE UNITS INSIDE SECURE?
Yes the site is very secure. The site has monitored CCTV across the whole site 24-7-365. There is a high perimeter, anti climb fence and a strong automated gate.
HOW DO I KNOW MY ITEMS WONT GET DAMP IN YOUR CONTAINER UNITS?
These former shipping containers have been modified for self storage purposes by adding 14 extra air vents, brand new rubber seals, installing wipeable floors and an easy open long handle. The original structure of the container is excellent protection against all weather as they were designed for the open seas carrying sensitive items such as electronics and fabrics so they are completely water tight. The units are also placed on raised foundations, to ensure the air flow and prevent condensation. We just ask that you ensure your goods are free from any form of moisture prior to going in to your self storage unit.
HOW CLOSE CAN I PARK TO MY UNIT?
Depending on car park availability, you will be able to park directly outside the facility. It is then a short walk into the facility and to your unit.
ARE THERE ANY DOLLYS OR TROLLEYS AT THE SITE TO AID WITH UNLOADING/PACKING?
For the internal facility in Bedford there is a trolley  to help you with unloading, but these are not always available and may not be suitable for your needs. Please plan to bring your own assistance if required.
CAN I BOOK ONLINE?
Yes you can. Simply follow the online instructions and you can complete your booking.
CAN I BOOK BY PHONE?
Yes, though it will take longer and the lowest available prices are online.
NEED HELP MOVING?

CAN I CANCEL BEFORE I MOVE IN EVEN THOUGH I’VE SENT YOU MY PAYMENT DETAILS?

I WANT TO MOVE OUT AND/OR CANCEL FUTURE PAYMENTS. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
Step 1: please confirm your cancellation by email to: Jonathan@iwantstorage.com
Step 2: please sweep your storage unite clean when you vacate 
Step 3: please send a photo of the vacated unit to: Jonathan@iwantstorage.com
You will then receive an email to confirm your unit has been cancelled
I WANT TO MOVE OUT IMMEDIATELY. CAN I GET A REFUND ON PAYMENTS MADE TO DATE?
You can move out at any time. However, payments are made 4 weekly in advance and are non-refundable.

AM I ABLE TO RESERVE A SELF STORAGE UNIT NOW AND MOVE IN LATER?
Yes, you can reserve your unit now and move in when you are ready. On the home page go to SEE PRICES, find the size you need and click 'Book Now'. Then add your details and select your move in date. Then when your move in date arrives, come to site and start using your self storage unit. Or click here
HOW DO I BOOK MY SELF STORAGE?
It is very easy, similar to booking a train ticket online but easier. From the home page, click SEE PRICES, choose your unit size, click 'Book Now', enter your name, details, move in date, insurance level, tick the terms and conditions. On the next page enter your card details and confirm booking. You will receive an email with you booking details. click this link to go straight to the correct page.
HOW OFTEN IS THE RENT PAID AND WHEN?
The rent is paid every 28 days. The first payment is made on the move in date and then every 28 days thereafter, until you tell us you are moving out.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM PERIOD TO RENT A SELF STORAGE UNIT?
4-weeks. You can stay less, but the minimum sum payable for any subscription is one month.
CAN I JUST NOT HAVE ANY INSURANCE?
It is mandatory to have insurance since if there is a loss claim and you do not have insurance it is possible for the self storage company to be held liable. Self Storage operators are advised to ensure insurance is in place by the trade body the Self Storage Association.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN USING AN INDOOR SELF STORAGE FACILITY (INSIDE A WAREHOUSE) TO AN OUTDOOR FACILITY WITH DRIVE-UP CONTAINERS UNITS SUCH AS BIG BULL SELF STORAGE?
This is simply personal preference, however the outdoor facilities are popular since you can park your vehicle next to the door of your unit which is easy for unloading and loading. This is particularly useful if you have larger pieces and heavier items, or a lot to move in and out at a time, for example when moving house. Our self employed clients find this particularly helpful when using them to store tools and materials.
ARE THERE THINGS I NEED TO CHECK BEFORE I PUT MY BELONGINGS INTO A UNIT?
Yes make sure any soft items such as fabrics or items that has fabric on is dry when you put them in the self storage unit. If they are damp or wet when you store them, then there is a chance condensation could build up. The extra ventilation in our units will give you some protection against this but it is best to check your things are not carrying water or damp.
